HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Constellation NewEnergy will supply renewable wind energy certificates (RECs) to the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC) for the 2009 Business Expo. The Green-e certified wind RECs from Constellation NewEnergy will match the electricity consumed at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center where the one-day expo will take place on Thursday, Nov. 12.

A REC represents the environmental benefits of electricity generated from a wind, solar or other renewable power facilities. Organizations may use RECs to reduce their indirect greenhouse gas emissions and help support the operation and development of domestic sources of cleaner, renewable energy.
